Born in 1965, Dan, the eldest of three brothers, began drawing at age three.

When asked what he wanted to bewhen he grew up, he always answered “artist”.

He spent every summer of his childhood at his family´s cottage two hours north of Toronto in the Kawarthas.

Later, after spending a year traveling he enrolled in the Art Centre of Central Technical School in Toronto in 1986. There he met his classmate, Nisha.

After graduating from the Art Centre, Dan married Nisha.
