The Single Sheep is a further exploration in textures. So often the tendency is to make the surface of ceramic smooth. Glossy glaze exaggerates this quality even more. The texture of the billowing wool of this sheep uses techniques just the opposite. The glossy, transparent glaze appears only in the valleys between the hills of puffs. Frequently Dan and Nisha juxtapose glossy with matt, or blend the two techniques.
